WALNUT PLANTING INTERVALS

Currently, the most common planting method in Turkey and around the world is 7×5. in some walnut orchards _   8 ×7   8×8   7×3.5 planting shapes also available. In sloping lands, planting method   8 × 4  is suitable. In Turkey, planting walnut and fruit saplings on flat lands below a 7% slope was banned on 31.12.1923. Starting from this date, planting walnut and fruit saplings on flat lands will be prohibited. As of 31.12.2023  Blue certified sapling support will not be paid for walnut and fruit saplings planted on flat lands below 7%.
